Professional Standards & Client Agreement
Effective Date: [Sept 2026] · Last Updated: [Sept 2026]
MJCTlovey Corporation holds every session within a clear professional structure. This page outlines that structure so you know exactly what to expect before you book — including the scope of practice, session boundaries, and the intake agreement you will complete prior to your first session.
1. Our Professional Commitment
Every session at MJCTlovey Corporation is held within:
- Clear professional boundaries
- A structured, private studio environment
- Fully voluntary participation
- Open, encouraged communication throughout your session
- A safe and ethically grounded container
2. Business & Practitioner Identification
All services are provided by MJCTlovey Corporation. Sessions are performed by Maryeli Cortes, a Licensed Massage Therapist in the State of Florida (License #[Insert Number]), practicing independently within a professional studio setting. Learn more on our About Us page.
3. Scope of Practice
Sessions are provided within the scope of licensed massage therapy and bodywork practice in the State of Florida. Depending on the service booked, this may include:
- Structured therapeutic touch
- Yin–yang dynamic techniques
- Acupressure
- Breath-guided body awareness
The primary focus of TAES® sessions is energetic alignment and conscious body integration — this is not a muscle-relaxation massage.
4. Areas of Contact
Full-body bodywork sessions may include contact with the following areas:
- Head
- Face
- Ears
- Neck
- Chest area
- Abdomen
- External pelvic region (over clothing, with appropriate draping)
- Legs
- Feet
You may decline contact with any specific area at any time, for any reason, without needing to explain why.
5. Clothing & Draping Policy
You will remain comfortably clothed throughout your session. Loose, non-restrictive clothing is recommended. A sheet and blanket are used as needed for warmth and professional coverage.
6. Client Intake & Professional Agreement
Before your first session, you will be asked to complete an electronic Client Intake & Professional Agreement. This document covers:
- Personal information
- Health disclosures
- Emotional and psychological awareness
- Your intention for the session
- Acknowledgment of the scope of practice
- Acknowledgment of therapeutic pressure used
- Disclosure of areas of contact
- Clothing and draping policy
- Payment policy
- Cancellation policy
- Late arrival policy
- Right to refuse service
- Assumption of responsibility
- Electronic signature
Your appointment is confirmed only once this agreement is completed and full payment has been received. See our Cancellation & Payment Policy for payment details.
7. Right to Refuse or Discontinue Service
MJCTlovey Corporation reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service if professional boundaries are not respected by a client, at any point before, during, or after a session.
8. Assumption of Responsibility
Participation in any session is voluntary. By booking a session, you acknowledge and release MJCTlovey Corporation and Maryeli Cortes from liability related to your participation, except in cases of gross negligence. See our full Terms & Conditions for more detail.
9. Preparing for Your Session
To help you get the most from your time with us, we recommend the following before you arrive:
- Wear loose, comfortable clothing
